8 Key Industries

March saw a more concentrated focus across 8 industries compared to 11 in February. While Manufacturing & Industrial remained the top sector, Retail & Consumer Goods and Supply Chain & Logistics showed notable growth across the jobs our team worked on.

  • Manufacturing & Industrial: 28%
  • Retail & Consumer Goods: 18%
  • Supply Chain & Logistics: 15%
  • Construction: 13%
  • Food & Beverage: 10%
  • Healthcare: 10%
  • Energy & Utilities: 5%
  • Automotive: 3%

Industries like Aerospace & Defense and Sustainability, which were present in February, did not appear in our top hiring sectors for March.

 

On-Site vs. Remote Work Trends

After February saw an increase in hybrid and remote work flexibility, March swung back with an even greater demand for on-site roles.

  • On-Site: 69% (up from 58% in February)
  • Hybrid: 14% (down from 21%)
  • Remote: 16% (down from 21%)

 

Recruitment Activity Across 20 States

March saw activity expand across 20 states, up from 17 in February. North Carolina led hiring activity, making up more than 15% of placements and surpassing New Jersey, which was the top state in February.

Top states for March recruitment:

  • North Carolina: 15%
  • New Jersey: 10%
  • New York: 8%
  • Pennsylvania: 8%

Additional hiring occurred across states including Texas, Florida, Michigan, Virginia, Georgia, Illinois, and more.

 

Top 10 Skills in Demand

While some technology-driven skills like SAP, Business Intelligence, and System Administration were highly sought in February, March saw a shift toward a more diverse range of skills, including engineering, leadership, and ERP systems.
