This position is key to supporting our business's operational efficiency and strategic initiatives.

WHAT WILL I DO IN THIS ROLE?
  • EDI System Management: Take ownership of our EDI systems and integrated applications, ensuring seamless transaction processing and data flow to enable effective business decision-making.
  • Business Process Expertise: Develop and maintain deep knowledge of business processes, data management, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to EDI.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers, acting as a key liaison between IT and business units.
  • Project Involvement: Participate in and lead multiple projects, from system implementations to process enhancements, ensuring all specifications and deadlines are met.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively partner with business units to prioritize and manage EDI activities, focusing on continuous process improvement and system optimization.
  • Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical support for EDI and ERP systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancement of existing systems.
  • Data Management: Ensure the timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound EDI transactions, maintaining data integrity and compliance.
  • Innovation and Strategy: Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, contributing to the development of internal IT processes and tools.
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?
  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems, with exposure to the full order flow process from start to finish.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems, basic SQL queries, and Microsoft Office. Experience with specific EDI tools and platforms is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Need experience in one or more of the following: EDI Standard Formats (ANSI X12), EDI Communications Software, EDI Translation Software, EDI Protocols, EDI Security Concepts. Experience with EDI HQ beneficial.
  • Any ERP experience is good, but JDE or Epicor would be a big plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks and projects independently.
  • Problem-solving: A detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy, data integrity, and continuous improvement.
