Job Description: Project Manager - Federal Construction Projects

Need to have Federal Project Experience and Willing to Travel!


Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee federal construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, a deep understanding of federal regulations, and exceptional leadership skills. This role requires effective collaboration with government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget. Travel is Required as projects vary from state to state, project duration varies from multiple weeks to months dependent upon contracts awarded

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Ensure alignment with federal standards and regulations.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including government officials and subcontractors. Facilitate communication and address any concerns or issues.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring compliance with federal funding regulations. Prepare and submit regular financial reports.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all aspects of the project comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Stay updated on changes to relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Conduct regular risk assessments and adjust project plans as necessary.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that all work meets established standards and specifications. Conduct site inspections and reviews.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting milestones, challenges, and overall progress.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative environment. Provide guidance and support to team members throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience in project management, with a preference for candidates with a background in federal construction or concrete restoration.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and regulations.
  • Proven experience managing budgets and timelines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, ProCore, BlueBeam).
